about bike fitting
From a simple inner seam calculation, to high-tech contraptions, bike fitting has always existed. A Pave the Way - Retül bike fit should be the foundation for achieving your cycling objectives, whether it's an existing bike, or before purchasing a new one.
There are various ‘bike fit’ systems available, and even more opinions on the merits each system offers. However, to disregard the fitter, who ultimately holds the key to achieving the success of such technology, is short sighted. At Pave the Way, our focus is you, we have some fantastic equipment that benefits our extensive experience, for a fit that is precise and personlised to your demands.
WHO:
A professional bike fit with Pave the Way can beneficial to all types of riders. Whether you’ve won it all, or are just starting out, having an expert asses your position and equipment, should be the starting point for your riding objectives.
HOW OFTEN:
As individuals, our goals, strengths, fitness and physical limitations, all change regularly. Getting a yearly check-up to ensure your bike position is best suited to these criteria or equipment changes is essential in achieving long term success.
INJURY PREVENTION AND DISCOMFORT:
At Pave the Way, we can reduce the risk of injury and help prevent pains that are common in the knees, feet, hands and neck. Unfortunately, many riders tend to persevere with many of these aggravations, limited performance and even risk injury, as they are not sure how to tackle the problem. Whilst the bicycle frame is a fixed component, there are many parts that can be easily adjusted to dramatically improve your riding experience.
PERFORMANCE:
Whilst we all cycle for different reasons, and to varying degrees, improving performance is important. Performance goals can be as simple as improving fitness to targeting specific events. A bike fit improves the economy of your efforts and should be the starting point in achieving your goals, whether that’s with beating your mates, winning a race or setting a new personal best.
